The Alps (3/3)

These photos of the Alps were taken from the Jura range of mountains, north of Geneva in France. Mont Blanc (4,807m, the highest in Europe) is the tallest peak in the photos. At the time, February 1999, the Alps had had the most snow in 20 years. Flaine, a resort just to the left in front of Mont Blanc, had over 6m of snow on the slopes at the time.
In between the Jura and the Alps you can see Lake Geneva, Geneva, and hence a strip of Switzerland.
